Core Team Tasks

This page lists open and pending tasks of the Core Team. It is highly based on the discussions of the first team meeting. For details, see below.

Open Tasks

• Reminder: Project manager should send freezed project to release manager (Stucki) who starts RC phase

=> Stucki will retain this in the release workflow documentation

• Request: Do we need to set up daily snapshots? => Yes => Maybe Bernhard can take care of this?

=> it seems not

• Request: Explain release workflow more detailed

=> Stucki will write a new document

• New: Poll Core team every 4 weeks if new version should be released. Wait 2 days for feedback

=> Accepted, will be retained in release workflow documentation

=> Needs to be automated (Stucki?)

• New: Fix RC phase to last 1 week

=> Accepted, will be retained in release workflow documentation

• Request: Build new testing team

=> Stucki will organise this

• Request: Write documentation for release cycle

=> Stucki will do that

• Request: Automated releases: Check out "ant" (related with request “Daily snapshots above)

=> ??

• Request: Extend Mantis Bugtracker with additional RSS feed which only contains new issues

=> Sebastian Kurfürst

• Request: Be more strict to dates or update deadlines

=> Accepted, will be retained in release workflow documentation

• Poll: Number of Core team members

=> Decision: not less, but probably a few more

• Request: Describe recruiting & remaining requirements in a Wiki page

=> Stucki will create a draft

• Suggestion: Karma idea

=> Kasper and Sebastian will write RFC

• Request: Core team mailing list: Announce subject tags, e.g. "Important", "RFC", etc. to make reading mails easier.

=> Stucki will do that

• Request: Core team mailing list: Publish list & team rules

=> Stucki will do that

• Request: Core team mailing list: Introduce “Urgency” and “Severity” declaration

=> Stucki will do that

• Request: Define procedure if patch is not reviewed

=> Stucki will write a draft for this

• Request: Define what a no-brainer is

=> ??
