A short suggestion from my side when it comes to the swedish translation handling is to make use of/follow the swedish part of the Translation Project (TP). See http://www.tp-sv.se (especially the word list found at http://www.tp-sv.se/dok-6.html#ss6.1).
I guess building up a special TYPO3 word list here could be good as well?
