do you need an additional plugin to use flexform or is it part of the typo3 core?

Overriding fields

The howto says that the new starting point field overrides he old one. At least in TYPO3 4.0 this is not true. The field will be shown in addition to the original one (see screenshot). --Jsfan 04:18, 3 August 2006 (CEST)

Also happens in Typo3 3.8.1, shows both the new and the original ones.
