TYPO3.org & .com Contact Page

Time and again people have suggested to create a "contact" section on org and co.

What I think makes sense is to build some kind of dialogue function, where you select a question matching yours to get directed to a page that describes and how to contact the right people.

Now my question is, what questions/answers would you propose?

Please use the WIKI to put in your suggestions:

Contact Page Selection & Answers Suggestions

Select: I have a problem using TYPO3, who can I ask for help?

Answer page: 1. English Mailing List Archives ( description text and link) 2. Find a consultancy near you ( description text and link to .com listing)

Select: I want to contribute to the TYPO3 project, what can I do to help?

Answer Page: 1. Find a team on .org, subscribe to the ml and start working (description text and link tto team page) 2. become an Association member (description text and link) [Edit: MS] I think "contribute" is too unspecific, I would break this up. Another select page to more selects - I'd go for another page after this option has been selected.

maholtz 12:47, 17 March 2007 (CET) : i think it is not clear to much people how they could help without being an expert. I think there should be people who takes care of people who wants to help, i mean an personal contact, not only an mailinglist where no one feels responsible.

Examples:

3. Shall we contact YOU?
3a) Tell us your experience level with typo3
3b) time per month you are willing to work for typo3
3c) if you are an expert, where would you help:
 - development
 - documentation
 - public relations
 - community - talk to people
 - ...?
3d) which country/city you are from

At this time, there is only one open task to do for typo3: http://typo3.org/community/participate/ and why should i be able to do that?

I think there should be people who help people to help.

"Volunteer management": experienced members could be mentor for one interested contributor?

ok, thats my thougts at this point maholtz 12:47, 17 March 2007 (CET)
